The president of the windsurf section of the International Sailing Federation, Cery Williams, visited Los Alcázares on february to present what it will be the next European Windsurf Championship. The Mar Menor has been chosen to host it because in words of Williams “it has an excellent weather, there are good communications on the Region and the wind and water conditions are ideal for the competition”. The event will take place from the 21st to the 27th of october.
